DU 35 – Progress

My publishing mood is not in shape, but I’ll try to improve.ย  Recently i spoke with one graphic designer to join our cause. I just need to setup his working environment ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m still in chase of second graphic designer so we will have at least two people on one position. We have working terrain generator, it is first try so there is still lot of work on it. Also all assets were scaled from 0.5 to 1m. Terrain asset was greatly improved. Se we can now work hard on all regarding terrain.

DU 34 – New wind

It is gaining speed again. My energy is back in normal so I started doing multiple things and multiple things are already done. First i mange to convince one great programmer to join Kings and Keeps team. So hopefully development time will speed up a little. It is time now to start working on 2d graphic. I’m in search of an artists. I will have meeting with one today. Hopefully successfull. I started to fill in site with fresh info. Many texts has been corrected, updatedย  and created. I’ll continue with this effort all week. I also created simple prefabs which are representing terrain, so we can built terrain generator. One task this week is also ahead of me, it is needed to recreate assets already made to correct scale as i decided that 0.5m scale was too granular and could lead to performance issues. I’ll change the scale to 1m as is standard in unity.

DU 33 – Holidays and end of sickness

I can say that this month was very difficult for me. The sickness drained almost all my energy, but hopefully I’m now much better. Energy is returning and even i did not do much i did some work on the Kings and Keeps ๐Ÿ™‚

I manage to speak to one great programmer which knows how to code in C# which is great advantage. I had difficulties to decode difficult code, but hopefully we will find a way how to cooperate. I do not want to say much ahead of things. The important part is that I’m back on Kings and Keeps.

DU 32 – Sickness

In the last few days I was seriously sick. Thus there were no updates on the site as minimum happened. Now I’m back to track hopefully. I’m now crunching through C# code, trying to learn as much as possible in shortest time possible ๐Ÿ™‚ Damned objects ๐Ÿ˜€

DU 31 – Wrong import

Kings and Keeps is very ambitious project. But hopefully in human power to finish it in setup time frame. recently i posted few screenshots from Unity. But something was not right. Some details was blurry and zooming out did not work as expected. So i was thinking how to improve things, trying to find an error. And finally i found it. The wrong export parameters from Blender so all the assets were imported in incorrect scale. Soon i’ll finish new and hopefully much better castle. So stay tuned for new screenshots.

DU 30 – New

Finally! I put something interesting on main page. Fresh new model of and gate with small tower. You can see all current features, but stairs present there. Just enjoy few more screenshots:

 

DU 29 – Charts

Hi all. These days I was working on production charts. I believe that they are ready to be used. I also manage to finish people skill and work tree. I do not want to publish this. But i updated my internal wiki a lot. I’ll now go trough all again to describe all aspects of the game which i missed, or did not described at all. I assume that it will take some more time. Than i want to get into coding little bit and learning the Unity.

DU 28 – Flow

Hi all. This week I’m trying to figure out all production and building flows. I’m playing withย http://draw.io . I’m creating there different flows for different purposes. The next step will what needs to be ready inย  Alpha. Unluckily i do not want to publish this yet. ๐Ÿ™ So there is nothing to show now.

DU 27 – Wiki

The Tiki wiki is installer and ready to be used. I already create some content in it. However the content is internal. I’m going through the process of describing all game process and functions. The initial phase should take around one week.

DU 26 – Unity

During the last days, i was reading some info about unity. Exactly i was reading how the RTS should be made. So i’m on good track. But there is a lot of work ahead. Learning is pain, but rewarding at the end. ๐Ÿ™‚
